Detroit — No receiver in NFL history has caught more passes through their first five seasons than Amon-Ra St. Brown, who, with his performance against the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday, passed the previous high, which was set by former New Orleans Saints star Michael Thomas.
St. Brown, drafted by the Detroit Lions in 2021, entered Sunday with 505 career receptions, five behind Thomas. He hauled in his sixth catch of the afternoon with less than three minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.
The only other active receiver still within his first five seasons and with at least 400 receptions is Cincinnati's Ja'Marr Chase (481).
Already one of the most productive players in franchise history, St. Brown went into Thursday's contest ranking, among Lions receivers, third in receptions (505),
