MACON, Ga. — Mercer University looks like a winter wonderland, and it's all for a great cause.
On Thursday, Macon's Habitat for Humanity hosted their annual "Light More Homes" Christmas Celebration, which supports families with a holiday light display.
The event raises money to help Habitat pay for electrical work in their 2026 homes, and give families a place to spend the holidays next year.
Karian Christmas is a freshman at Mercer, and her last name proves that she was born to do Christmas lights. She's studying computer science at Mercer, and won a coding contest at the event this year, syncing the display to coordinate with classic holiday carols.
"I love to program and I also love holiday lights, so I decided why not try something brand new and I loved it," Christmas said.
