FOXBOROUGH — Fairhaven is once again the king of Division VI.
A season after falling short in the championship game, the No. 3 Blue Devils returned to Gillette Stadium for the third straight season, defeating the top-seed Norwell 28-14.
The victory is Fairhaven’s second championship in its current run, and fifth in program history.
“This is one best feelings ever. Losing last year lit a fire underneath us,” said senior running back Ian Alexion. “We knew we’d be in the same spot.”
In 2024 Fairhaven fell to Hudson, 21-14 in the title game. The loss began the long road to redemption for the Blue Devils.
“It’s unbelievable feeling to come up here and play tough. This is a hardworking group that knows how to prepare. I’m proud of them,” Fairhaven head coach Derek Almeida said.
