DETROIT — The Detroit Lions really needed that one.
With hopes of reaching the playoffs on the line, the Lions showed up with a bounce-back win to beat the Dallas Cowboys, 44-30 , in an offensive outburst.
Despite not relying on the running game too much, Jahmyr Gibbs had another major performance with 120 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns as he tied Barry Sanders for the most touchdowns scored in NFL history through three career seasons.
The Detroit defense struggled at times to keep a talented Cowboys offense from moving downfield, but the unit came up with timely stops. They had two interceptions, recovered a fumble and forced them to kick five field goals.
