A six-member team from the Standing Committee of the Assam Legislative Assembly arrived in Dhubri to review the functioning of various government departments and inspect development projects.
The delegation, led by Udalguri MLA Gobinda Basumatary, reached the Dhubri Circuit House at around 11:30 am on Friday. The team includes MLAs Sujamuddin Laskar (Katlichera), Ajay Roy, Diganta Barman and Nizanur Rahman, along with Basumatary as the team leader.
The primary objective of the visit is to assess the performance of government departments in the region. The committee will hold meetings with the heads of eight different departments and inspect ongoing development works in Dhubri.
