A giant crane toppled onto a house after colliding with a car, causing damage to the residence near Morantabettu in Kallamundkur village panchayat on Friday.

The crane, speeding along the Mulki–Moodbidri state highway near the Morantabettu turn in Kallamundkur, went out of control and fell onto the house of Felix Rodrigues. The incident resulted in damage to the house.

At the time of the accident, the family members were in another part of the house and escaped unharmed.

Parts of the crane also fell onto a car passing nearby, narrowly missing serious damage.

Moodbidri police visited the site and conducted an inspection.
