Nagpur : A young woman doctor, identified as Dr. Ritu Deshmukh, has been arrested for allegedly murdering her boyfriend, Balaji Kalyane (24), in Nagpur’s Nandanvan Colony after a prolonged dispute over marriage, police said on Friday.

According to investigators, Deshmukh allegedly stabbed Kalyane in the chest while he was asleep late Thursday night. Police stated that she later attempted to mislead them by inflicting injuries on herself and claiming that Kalyane had first attacked her before trying to end his own life. She reportedly tried to project the incident as a failed murder suicide attempt.
