Daringbadi, the coldest location in the district, recorded a minimum temperature of 9°C. The hilly town, often dubbed the ‘Kashmir of Odisha’, is known for its early onset of winter, and this week’s temperature pattern reflects the region’s typical cold-season trend. Clear skies over Kandhamal contributed to the sharper fall, allowing rapid heat loss during the night.
