Pune, December 5, 2025: The Regional Transport Office (RTO), Pune, has formally requested the Maharashtra Kamgar Sabha to withdraw its proposed agitation scheduled to start on December 5 outside the RTO premises. The appeal comes after a detailed meeting with representatives from Ola, Uber and Rapido regarding fare-related issues raised by drivers.

In a letter addressed to union president Dr. Keshav Nana Kshirsagar, Regional Transport Officer Archana Gaikwad noted that the union had earlier submitted a representation alleging that app-based transport companies were not implementing government-approved fares. The memorandum also mentioned abrupt driver account deactivations and alleged illegal passenger transport services being operated by Rapido using two-, three- and four-wheelers.
