The Ohio high school football season is nearing its conclusion with state title games on the schedule in December.

In OHSAA Division IV, the Shelby Whippets will face off against the Glenville Tarblooders in the state title game.

Glenville advanced to its third state final in the past four years by defeating Indian Valley in the state semis despite trailing in the fourth quarter. Indian Valley was behind 12-0 at halftime, but took a slim 21-20 lead early in the fourth quarter. Glenville regained the lead with 7:29 remaining in regulation and held on for a 26-21 win.

Shelby, meanwhile, blew out Indian Hill by a final score of 42-7 in their own state semifinal game.
