Morrisons shoppers will notice a change to some tills this weekend as the supermarket runs a new initiative to combat loneliness. Morrisons has teamed up with Good Morning Britain on its 1 Million Minutes campaign, which asks people to donate their time, rather than money to combat loneliness.
To support the campaign, Talking Tills will be introduced at Morrisons stores nationwide and will offer customers the chance to spend a little more time at the checkout to enjoy a light-hearted or meaningful conversation with colleagues.
There will be colleagues on hand to offer customers a slower-paced checkout experience, and the opportunity to connect with anyone who may welcome a friendly chat.
