Edinburgh Airport has halted all flights this morning (Friday, December 5) due to an IT issue.

In a statement, they stated: "Due to an IT issue with our air traffic control provider, no flights are currently operating from Edinburgh Airport.

"Teams are working on the issue and will resolve as soon as possible."

Holiday makers and travellers have been urged to contact their airline for updates on their flights.

Edinburgh Airport also states they will "provide updates when possible".

On X, they wrote: "If you're travelling with us to @EDI_Airport this morning, please be aware that flights are not currently operating."
