Flight services resumed at Edinburgh Airport in Scotland on Friday after a technical issue in the air traffic control provider’s IT system brought operations to a halt earlier in the morning.
“Flights have now resumed following the IT issue with our air traffic control provider. We thank passengers for their patience and understanding," Edinburgh Airport said in a post on X.

The disruption began earlier in the day when the airport announced that no flights were operating due to computer problems affecting air traffic control, leading to passengers facing delays.
