The Tippecanoe County Prosecutor's Office says Anthony David Reed Junior has been found guilty of one count of attempted murder as a level one felony. He was also found guilty on one count of aggravated battery and one count of battery with a deadly weapon.

Prosecutors say Reed shot his girlfriend in June of 2024 at McCarty Lane and Emerald Pines Court in Lafayette.

Reed was arrested after a short pursuit and police say they found a Glock 19 in his waistband, along with three additional guns and ammunition in his SUV.

Reed's girlfriend was rushed to the hospital, where doctors found a bullet lodged in her heart.

Reed is scheduled to be sentenced on January 22nd.
