Newcastle United's towering centre-half Dan Burn has been piling up the accolades this week - and has now been formally awarded the Freedom of Blyth . The Northumberland lad was visited at the NUFC training ground this week by the town's mayor and deputy town clerk for a formal presentation.
This comes after Blyth Town Council resolved to grant the Toon Army and England star the honour - its highest civic award - following his performance in March's Carabao Cup final which the team won. The award comes just days after he was also awarded an honorary degree by Northumbria University, while he is also set to play a star
