Cookie walks in metro Detroit are coming on fast, with most scheduled for the next two weekends. Most are at churches and feature a huge assortment made by an army of parishioners and volunteers.

At cookie walks, held mostly to benefit churches and community projects, organizers hand out containers or boxes, and visitors walk around tables filled with cookies and other treats and make selections. Choosing your own means you can customize your holiday cookie assortment.
