Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday held bilateral talks and issued a joint statement in New Delhi, reaffirming their commitment to deepening economic engagement , expanding energy cooperation and strengthening security coordination. The two leaders met at Hyderabad House in New Delhi as part of the 23rd India–Russia Annual Summit, marking Putin’s first state visit to India since 2021.
The talks centred on widening collaboration in trade, defence, connectivity, and counter-terrorism, with both sides underscoring the need to reinforce ties amid shifting global dynamics.
