2025 has been yet another standout year for Netflix. The streamer has outdone itself once more, debuting its most successful movie of all time, and releasing a number of series that became global phenomena. These accolades are reflected in Google’s annual Year in Search , which is once again dominated by Netflix.

Looking back to 2024, Netflix claimed 50% of the trending TV shows in Google’s Year in Search . British series Baby Reindeer was the ultimate winner, out-searching Prime Video’s Fallout in second place. 2025 follows a similar trend. In terms of volume, Netflix shows don’t quite beat last year, but the streamer dominates the top 3 shows streamed globally. Just one Netflix movie appears on the global charts, in the form of the long-awaited sequel Happy Gilmore 2 .
