The directorate of enforcement (ED) on Friday attached fresh assets worth ₹1,120 crore, including the iconic Reliance Centre at Mumbai’s Ballard Estate, in its ongoing money laundering probe against companies of the Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani (ADA) Group. With this action, the total value of assets attached in the various cases linked to the ADA Group has risen to ₹10,117 crore, according to a release from the agency. The latest provisional attachment under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) covers 18 properties, fixed deposits, bank balances and shareholdings in unquoted investments belonging to several group companies.
