Poundland is one of several struggling high street chains shutting stores this year, with a number closing in December.
The discount retailer was sold by former parent company Pepco Group to Gordon Brothers earlier this year, saving it from administration.
However, the new owners are carrying out a major restructure, which includes shutting 30 stores.
More than 20 have already closed in the past couple of months, while more are closing their doors for good this month and in January.
