LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - The investigation continues into a deadly police shooting after a man is accused of holding a woman at gunpoint.

This happened in Jeffersontown on Thursday afternoon. LMPD tells WAVE News that body camera video of the shooting will be released within ten business days.

Officers responded to a call at around 1:30 p.m. of a man pointing a gun at a woman in the 9000 block of Red Deer Circle, located off Taylorsville Road on Dec. 4, 2025. The caller described the suspect as a white man with no shirt on.

Police found a man near the scene of the incident at around 1:55 p.m. who matched the description and was carrying a gun.

When officers arrived they ordered the man to drop his gun. The man refused and the officers fired. LMPD says no one else was hurt.
