A Lanarkshire army veteran who was injured during a blast in Bosnia has urged the public not to forget service men and women this Christmas. David Dent served in the Queen Alexandra’s Royal Army Nursing Corps during the 1990s and was a specialist in intensive care and military trauma. He was injured during an explosion in Bosnia in 1994.

David now experiences mobility challenges, chronic pain and PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) and uses a wheelchair. This Christmas, he is asking the public to remember service members during the 'lonely' period.
