The best pizza, pasta, fish and chips and Italian restaurants in Scotland have been revealed at a prestigious ceremony in Glasgow.

This year's Scottish Italian Awards has crowned the best of the best from all over Scotland, with those spots in and around Glasgow taking the lion's share of the awards.

The quality wins include Malocchio in the Merchant City which took home Best Newcomer, while the Best Fish and Chips was awarded to Quintiliani’s Larkhall, while Trattoria 47 in the city got Best Family-Run.

Best Trattoria was given to Bella Vita, with Punto in Kilmacolm named Scotland's Best Family Friendly Restaurant.

Further out, the Trattoria Roma in Johnstone was named the best Italian Restaurant in the West, and in Ayrshire, Scotland’s Best Gelateria is Renaldo's Old Fashioned Ic
