NEW WINDSOR – It was on December 5, 2001, that Nancy Smith of New Windsor was found brutally murdered in the living room of her New Windsor home, and 24 years later her killer has not been found.
New Windsor Police detectives are renewing their call for assistance in identifying the 32-year-old woman’s killer. They say that any piece of information, no matter how small or insignificant a person may feel it would be, could help catch her killer.
There is currently a $50,000 reward being offered for information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of those responsible for killing Smith.
New Windsor Police are working with the FBI. That agency is offering a separate $15,000 reward.
