SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - As the temperatures drop, families are thinking about how they’ll stay warm this winter. Organizations across the Ozarks are making sure that no child has to think about it too hard.

Different Coats for Kids organizations work to collect donated or new coats and help kids stay warm, even if they can’t buy a coat of their own.

The Knights of Columbus Greater Ozarks chapter has been distributing new coats at various locations across the Ozarks since 2017. In its first year, it gave out 350 coats. Now, it usually gives away that many—or more—per event.
