A man is in a serious condition after he was struck by a car on a Glasgow southside street. Emergency services rushed to Carmunnock Road following the incident , which involved a pedestrian and a black Audi A1 around 5pm on Thursday, December 4.

The man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment, where police say he remains in a serious condition. There were no other injuries.

The road was taped off by police as crash investigations were carried out, and was reopened around 11.30pm the same night. Police are now appealing for anyone with information to get in touch.
