Ruben Amorim has refused to offer Kobbie Mainoo any guarantees as the Manchester United youngster grows increasingly frustrated with his lack of playing time.

Mainoo, 20, has made ten appearances for United this season - his only start came in the now infamous Carabao Cup defeat by Grimsby - leaving many supporters questioning why he has struggled to crack the side despite their unconvincing results.

According to a new report in The Athletic , the player has grown ‘deeply frustrated’ by the situation and is open to leaving the club on loan in the January transfer window.

But pressed as to why Mainoo had been shuffled to the fringes of his squad, Amorim gave no ground.
