STARKVILLE, Miss. — Authorities are investigating after human remains were discovered in a wooded area near Starkville, according to a report from WTVA.

The remains were found off Stuart Road, the Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Office and Starkville Police Department announced Thursday evening.

Few additional details have been released. The remains have not yet been identified, and law enforcement said there is no danger to the public, WTVA reported.
