Just recently, as the sun began to set on a Monday afternoon at the Covington Branch library, the low hum of a projector filled the air as patrons strolled across the backyard with blankets and lawn chairs. For sure, it wasn't just any old Monday; it was the return of the St. Tammany Parish Library's free movie night, and "The Princess Bride" screening drew an appreciative audience in response.

A local food truck was parked nearby to serve up drinks and food, and with each swing of a sword, there were gasps and applause. And with each joke cracked in this 1987 film, the sound of laughter bubbled up.
