KENT COUNTY, Mich. — Winter weather is in full force in West Michigan, and Cannonsburg Ski Area in Belmont is ready to take full advantage of it.

In a post on Facebook , Cannonsburg said its crews have been working around the clock to meet the projected opening date of Friday, Dec. 12, at 4 p.m.

"We've been preparing for months for this," Marketing Director Danielle Musko told 13 ON YOUR SIDE earlier this week . "The cold temperatures are what we always look for, because we make our own snow. So these temperatures right now. I mean, it's like icing on the cake for us."
