French news organisations Le Monde and Agence France-Presse (AFP) have said an investigation has been launched by authorities following the incursion into highly restricted and sensitive airspace. Commander Guillaume Le Rasle of the French Navy told AFP that the sensitive infrastructure at the base “was not threatened” .
