Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal has said that India-Russia bilateral trade is very skewed as of now, and needs to be more balanced and with more variety. Speaking at the India-Russia Business Forum in New Delhi on Thursday, December 4, the Minister said that work is underway to reduce trade barriers and open opportunities for businesses on both the sides.
Stating that Indian businesses can meet Russia's huge demand for industrial goods, consumer goods, automobiles, electronics, data processing equipment, heavy machinery, textiles, and food products; he described the strategic partnership between both the countries as deep, enduring, strong and time-tested with decades of unwavering solidarity amidst global changes.
