L atvia is dealing with a gender imbalance so wide that it is beginning to influence everything from relationships to routine household work. With far fewer men than women in the country, many women are now relying on temporary “husbands” for everyday tasks, according to a report by The New York Post.
How big is Latvia’s gender gap?
According to Eurostat, Latvia has 15.5 percent more women than men, which is more than three times the average difference across the European Union.
