CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - The Kanawha County Emergency Ambulance Authority (KCEAA) and Highmark BlueCross BlueShield reached an agreement Friday on Highmark’s reimbursements for KCEAA’s services.

KCEAA says they have rescinded the proposal cancellation of its contract with Highmark for 2026.

This means people insured by Highmark will see no disruption relating to KCEAA since the ambulance service will stay in network, according to KCEAA.

“We’re glad that we could work out this agreement,” Monica Mason, executive director of KCEAA, said. “We look forward to continuing our long-term relationship with Highmark.
