Prince Edward , the Duke of Kent is the oldest working member of the royal family but continues to quietly carries out his duties in support of King and Crown.

On Friday, the 90-year-old royal stepped up to host the President and First Lady of Germany as they visited Coventry on the third and final day of their state visit.

The group visited Coventry, which was twinned with Kiel and Dresden in Germany over their shared experience of bombardment during the Second World War. At Coventry Cathedral, The Federal President laid a wreath in the ruins of the old cathedral alongside the Duke of Kent, followed by a tour of the new cathedral and a prayer service highlighting the ministry’s commitment to peace and reconciliation.
