MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - A teen is now charged as an adult in a July 2024 murder case .

Armani Watson, 18, was transferred to adult court and given a $1 million bond.

Watson is charged with first-degree murder and rape following the death of 19-year-old Aaliyah Kyles.

Prosecutors say he admitted to breaking into Kyles’ home, sexually assaulting her and shooting her.

Police found Kyles in her bathtub.
