Communities across Darlington will receive a share of £20 million to improve local facilities and provide better opportunities for residents.
Darlington is part of the Government’s Pride in Place programme, which will invest £19,539,000 in the borough over the next ten years.
A neighbourhood board has been established to lead the initiative locally, which includes residents, businesses, strategic partners, and stakeholders. The five “left behind” areas which will benefit from the funding include: Bank Top, Branksome, Northgate, Red Hall and Skerne Park.
