A mobile cinema is coming to Newton Aycliffe this Christmas.

The free pop-up cinema will launch inside Aycliffe Shopping Centre, next to Boyes, on Beveridge Way in the town centre. It will show festive films over two Saturdays this December.

Families are invited to sit back and relax while watching family favourites on Saturday, December 6 and Saturday, December 20.

Booking isn't required and guests will be able to grab food and drink from town centre shops.

The two films being shown this Saturday are The Polar Express at 9.30am and How the Grinch Stole Christmas at 11.30am.

On December 20, Elf and Home Alone will be shown at 10am and 12pm respectively. There will also be a screening of National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation at 2pm.
