Netflix Inc. said on Dec 5, it has reached a definitive agreement to acquire Warner Bros. from Warner Bros. Discovery Inc. in a landmark cash-and-stock transaction valued at $27.75 per WBD share, giving the deal an enterprise value of roughly $82.7 billion.

The acquisition, one of the largest in entertainment history is expected to close after WBD completes the previously announced spinoff of its Global Networks division into a separate publicly traded company.
