Police have issued a dispersal order following large-scale disorder as more than 100 youths ran riot by fighting and throw fireworks.
A huge brawl broke out when a group of men gathered at around 5pm on Thursday. Chaos quickly followed as the altercation escalated. Enquiries are ongoing to identify those involved but the force have moved to make sure there is no repeat tonight.
Officers have implemented a patrol plan for the next three days to prevent further disorder. Inspector Kat Murray, from Oldham Central Neighbourhood Policing Team, confirmed the action is in place following Thursday's events.
