The Michigan Wolverines seek an upset on Friday afternoon, as they take on the Xavier Musketeers in the first round of the 2025 NCAA Women’s Volleyball Tournament.

The Wolverines are looking to make some hay in their first national tournament appearance in four years. The team managed to earn an at-large bid after a rough end to its regular season. After an impressive six-match win streak earlier in November, Michigan ended up losing its final two matches, falling to both UCLA and USC, leading to a ninth-place finish in the Big Ten.

The maize and blue are looking for their first win in the NCAA Tournament since 2019, when they lost to Kentucky in the second round.

They will take on a Musketeers team that has high expectations after an impressive regula
