The Kalamazoo Wings have outdone themselves. Again.
Known for their famous painted ice traditions, the ECHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks celebrated the release of the second half of the widely popular movie and musical “Wicked” by painting the ice at the Wings Event Center green and pink as part of Wicked Night last Monday.

The K-Wings celebrated the fun movie-themed night in style, storming back to beat the Fort Wayne Komets in overtime, 2-1, thanks to Nolan Walker’s pair of goals.
The K-Wings gave every fan in attendance a free LED light up bracelet as part of the Wicked-themed night. Its celebratory night went viral, landing on ESPN’s Facebook account.
ESPN’s video generated over 250,000 views.
