Alberta is headed into a stretch of messy winter weather, but what that looks like will depend on where you live, according to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC).
Northern and central portions of the province, including Edmonton, have some cold days in their forecast. Justin Shelley, a meteorologist from ECCC, says that’s because a surge of arctic air has pushed down into the province.
“It’s currently centred over the Northwest Territories, but that axis is shifted all the way south through the central and northern prairies,” Shelley said when speaking with Daily Hive.
As for snowfall, Shelley says the west central and northern regions of Alberta will see the brunt of the winter weather, with anywhere from 10 to 15 cm of snow expected over the course of the next three to four
