While The Brave and The Bold continues to be in development, one of the popular casting choices for the DC hero is already getting a lot of support for him as James Gunn's Caped Crusader. Eventually, the DC Universe's Chapter 1: "Gods and Monsters" will finally see the Dark Knight in Gunn's superhero franchise, with several actors already being suggested by the audience as the iconic role.

During his appearance on the TODAY show, Brandon Sklenar, who has expressed interest in playing Batman in the DCU, was asked if there was any truth to him potentially being the one to suit up as the next big-screen version of the hero. Sklenar stated, "I mean that would be a dream, wouldn’t it? I was working in Spain and as I walked down the street someone called ‘Batman!’"
