For the better part of the last 50 years, Dr. Paul DeYoung has been a familiar face in the emergency departments of Cornwall’s hospitals.
After 47 years, DeYoung is ready to hang up his white coat and exchange it for a little more time with his family.

“I felt with my children and grandchildren living outside Cornwall that I needed time to spend with them, and so that means being away, and that means leaving the practice,” said DeYoung.
DeYoung expressed his strong gratitude towards his colleagues, particularly Huguette Allaire, his medical office assistant, and the Cornwall community where much of his career occurred .
