NATCHEZ, Miss. — The Adams County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help locating a non-compliant registered sex offender wanted for failing to meet Mississippi’s registration requirements.

A warrant has been issued for Joseph Coy Edwards, 35, of Natchez, on a charge of failure to register as a sex offender in violation of Mississippi Code §45-33-31, according to the sheriff’s office.

Edwards is described as 6-foot-1 and about 236 pounds, bald with blue eyes. His current whereabouts are unknown.

Deputies are urging anyone who may see Edwards not to approach him and instead contact law enforcement immediately.
