INDIANAPOLIS (WNDU) - Second-ranked Indiana will face top-ranked Ohio State in Saturday night’s Big Ten Championship Game at Lucas Oil Stadium, marking the first No. 1 vs. No. 2 conference championship game since back-to-back Florida-Alabama SEC matchups in 2008-2009.

The game marks Indiana’s first appearance in the Big Ten Championship Game and the first time Indiana has won a share of the Big Ten regular season championship since 1967.

Both teams are in the College Football Playoff, but the winner is expected to earn the overall No. 1 seed when the final bracket is announced Sunday afternoon. The winner will also be crowned Big Ten champion.

The matchup carries additional weight for the Hoosiers, who are seeking their first win over Ohio State since 1988.
