A Wallingford man has been arrested in a motorcycle crash in Chester that killed a Marcus Hook cyclist.
Thomas J. Hibbert, 32, was charged with multiple DUI counts, including a second-offense charge; accidents involving death/injury while not licensed; reckless endangerment; and numerous other offenses in the July 11 collision at 22nd and Weatherall streets that killed Jack Wilson, 24, who was a volunteer firefighter in Eddystone.
The accident happened about 8 that Friday evening.
Interim Chester Police Commissioner Katrina Blackwell said in a press release following the crash that when officers responded to the report of a motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle, emergency medical personnel were already on scene providing aid to the motorcycle driver.
