NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WFSB) - A 48-year-old man was convicted for the sexual assault of a young girl in the New Haven area.
The man was identified as Corey Baker of Hamden.
According to the Connecticut Division of Criminal Justice, the trial produced evidence that Baker had engaged in inappropriate physical contact with a girl he knew.
Baker was accused of repeatedly assaulting the girl from age six until she was 14.
He was found guilty of fourth degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor.
His sentencing was scheduled for Feb. 6 in New Haven Superior Court.
The case was investigated by the East Haven Police Department.
