SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - As Siouxland braces for another round of snow, Sioux City’s Public Works team is preparing to jump into action to keep the streets clear.
Patrick Simons, a field service supervisor with the Public Works Street Division, says the division prepares for each forecasted event and are ready to go at a moment’s notice to help keep people safe.
He says residents can also play a role in helping to keep the streets clear.
“With the forecasted weather coming around, we definitely would encourage any of the citizens to try and find some off-street parking, if available,” Simons said. “I definitely understand that not everyone has the capabilities to get their vehicle off the streets, but it definitely helps our staff get the roads clear quicker.
